Crisis Centre North Bay

Four Elms Emergency Shelter

Crisis Centre North Bay's Four Elms Emergency Shelter accepts men, women, and children into the homeless shelter on Cassells Street. Once at the door, clients' immediate needs are addressed. A meal is offered, as is a shower and a clean bed.

Once clients are settled in, our resource staff assists in resolving the crisis that brought them to the shelter. Goals are set, and both staff and client work together to find funding, housing and counseling if needed. Crisis Centre assists by linking clients to supports to resolve the immediate crisis -- but also to assist in the long term.

Crisis Centre North Bay began with one residence trying to meet the needs of the homeless of North Bay. It still provides that service through the Four Elms Residence at 1675 Cassells Street.  Crisis Centre North Bay also administers other residential Programs.

Futures Residence

The Futures Residence provides a life-skills based transitional housing unit for young persons aged 16 to 24.
