POSITION SUMMARY:
Crisis Centre North Bay is a non-profit charitable organization providing residential and non-residential programs in the Nipissing, Parry Sound and Muskoka Districts.
The Manager of Finance is responsible for leading the management of financial operations within the organization. They are accountable for ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance in financial processes. They manage the budgeting, forecasting and financial responsibilities for the organization. Collaborating closely with the Executive Director, they facilitate the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. The Manager of Finance is an active and contributing member of the organization’s leadership team and leads in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) year Bachelor of Commerce (concentration in accounting), Business Administration (finance/accounting) or other relevant degree.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required.
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation is considered an asset.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience, including management level experience in finance and accounting roles; demonstrating a strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in a non-profit organization, or in using Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profit (ASNPO) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Advanced skills using accounting software including Sage.
- Advanced software skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Share Point and Outlook).
- Knowledge and experience in anti-oppressive practices related to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- History of working productively and collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing for and leading an external audit.
- Must have excellent communication skills including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
- Strong degree of data literacy to analyse, interpret and communicate data and information to diverse audiences. Confident presentation skills and preparation of Board Reports.
- Highly adaptive, resilient and responsive to changing circumstances.
- Experience with change management, performance management, risk management, continuous quality improvement practices and data management and analysis.
- Excellent critical thinking skills; solution-orientated.
- Demonstrated time management skills which includes effectiveness with concurrently organizing, planning and coordinating several operational activities. Detail oriented and have the ability to meet strict deadlines and reporting requirements in a fast paced environment.
- History of working productively and collaboratively within a Management Team.
- Demonstrated ability to engage staff at all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.

- Proof of eligibility to work in Canada.
- A valid Ontario G driver’s licence that is in good standing, the use of a reliable vehicle and proof of adequate automobile insurance coverage that includes coverage for collision and $2 million liability.
- Clear Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Bilingualism would be considered an asset.
- Experience working within a unionized environment would be considered an asset
Salary: 80,000.00
